Charlie Sheen tells TMZ he feels REALLLLY bad for saying Ashton Kutcher “sucks” as the new lead on “Two and a Half Men” … and now he’s issuing an official apology to the actor.
It all started on “TMZ Live” last week … when Sheen called in and told us, “I’m tired of lying … I’m tired of pretending the show doesn’t suck … I’m tired of pretending Ashton doesn’t suck.”
But Sheen has since had a change of heart and drafted a letter to Kutcher …which reads:
“Dear Ashton,
My bad.
I was disrespectful to a man doing his best.
I got excited and I threw you into the crossfire, but the rest of my statement I stand behind. You however, deserve better.

Bobby Brown was asked to leave Whitney Houston’s funeral today … after he got into an argument with Whitney’s family over whether or not he could bring nine people into the church with him … TMZ has learned.
Brown was spotted going into the church today in Newark, NJ … but was seen leaving shortly thereafter.
According to our sources, Brown was invited, plus two, but instead showed up with an entourage of nine people. We’re told Bobby became upset when he found out they would not seat his whole party.
Our sources say Bobby wanted to sit with his daughter, Bobbi Kristina, but Whitney’s family was not having it.
We’re told Rev. Jesse Jackson tried to smooth things over … but to no avail.

(Barbados Nation) Contrary to rumours, Whitney Houston’s ex-husband Bobby Brown has not been banned from attending her funeral.
The private, invite-only service will take place this Saturday in Newark, N.J. TMZ.com has published several reports saying Houston’s family doesn’t want Brown, father to Houston’s 18-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina, to attend.
But according to ABC News, Brown has denied the family is shutting him out, and says he is working to support his child.
“My daughter Bobbi Kristina is doing much better,” Brown wrote in an email statement. “We continue to provide love and support to Bobbi Kristina. She is dealing with the tragedy of her mother’s death and would prefer to do it outside of the public eye. I ask again that our privacy be respected.”

Another come-from-behind victory for Kobe Bryant … sucking face with the woman who has now taken all of his homes, Vanessa Bryant … and now TMZ can confirm the two are working on a reconciliation.
Vanessa showed up for the Lakers Valentine’s Day victory over the Atlanta Hawks. The two shared a kiss in the tunnel on the way into the locker room.
TMZ broke the story … Vanessa filed for divorce in December, and they have already sealed the property settlement deal in which Vanessa got all 3 Newport Beach estates.
But sources told us at the time Vanessa filed … don’t be surprised if she goes back to Bryant.
And, although Kobe and Vanessa have submitted all the necessary docs to divorce, it doesn’t become final until mid-June, so there’s plenty of time to withdraw the papers.
FYI — we’re told Kobe and Vanessa are NOT living with each other … yet.

R.I.P — LEGENDARY SINGER WHITNEY HOUSTON DIES AT 48
Whitney Houston died this afternoon … a rep for the singer told the Associated Press.
Our sources tell us a member of Whitney’s entourage found her in her room at the Beverly Hilton hotel … and called hotel security — who then dialed 911. When paramedics arrived Houston was found unresponsive.
We’re told police arrived to the scene within minutes and fire was already there on an unrelated call. According to our sources, paramedics performed CPR but it did not work and she was pronounced dead at 3:55 PM.
Our sources say there were no obvious signs of foul play, but BH PD detectives have begun a full investigation. We’re told she was ID’ed by family and friends.
Houston was seen out in Hollywood Thursday night for a Grammy party … and she did not look well (below). She even briefly took the mic and performed a song while she was there — what would become her last performance.
Houston won two Emmy Awards, six Grammy Awards, 30 Billboard Music Awards, 22 American Music Awards during her record-breaking career. Her album “Whitney” was the first female album to ever debut at #1 on the Billboard Charts. She has sold 200 million albums worldwide.
Houston holds an Honorary Doctorate in Humanities from Grambling State University in Louisiana.
Houston had one child, Bobbi Kristina, with husband Bobby Brown. Houston and Brown were married from 1992-2007.
